It has come to my attention that there has been some
confusion regarding the termination of my employment with
Hazel Henry Tax Service. While it is not my nature to
publicly air any grievances with my previous employer, I
will address a few issues commonly asked to me to try to
help clear up any confusion.
- I was employed by Hazel Henry Tax Service for 18
Years. I regrettably initiated the termination of my
employment on May 25th, 2005 to pursue other options. I
intentionally waited over 30 days after tax season
(April 15th) to resign to ensure my former employer's
clients were adequately serviced. In the future,

- I own a legally formed Limited Liability
Corporation, within the State of Louisiana, named
"Lisa's Accounting Service LLC" which currently provides
bookkeeping services for business and will be Preparing
Individual Tax Returns for the 2005 season beginning
December. 1, 2005.
- I am currently in good standing with the Internal
Revenue Service, The State of Louisiana Revenue
Department, as well as any other governmental
agencies that regulate the tax preparation industry
where I do business. I hereby state that I am not a
felon; I am qualified to practice in front of the IRS on
your behalf; and I can legally, accurately, and securely
e-file your individual income tax returns and print your
refund checks in 1-3 days* (*some restrictions may
apply). Traditionally prepared - mailed in - tax returns
can be done upon request, but are discouraged.
- Hazel Henry Tax Service has released all bookkeeping
business accounts/clients to me as of January 1, 2005
(prior to the termination of my employment). I am
currently legally servicing these companies and
accepting new clients as well. I offer free pick up and
delivery for all business bookkeeping clients in the
Lake Charles area. Please use the information on the

online or by telephone.
- Upon termination of my employment I took no
clients personal files. The files that you have
stored by your accounting firm do not belong to that
firm. Your files belong to you personally and are
typically stored by your accounting firm for you as a
service. You are entitled to request your entire file at
any time from your accounting firm.
- Lisa's Accounting Service has acquired a
physical address to prepare Individual Tax returns for
the 2005 season. Opening December 1, 2005 in the Ihles
and Country Club Road area, just minutes south of I-210.
The exact address, maps, and driving directions are
available by Clicking Here. Appointments are
encouraged, although not necessary. Walk ins are welcome
on a first come first served basis.
- If you are an existing bookkeeping client you can
pick up and drop off your files at our physical address
starting Oct. 1, 2005 if you prefer. Also don't forget,
I did not take your personal tax files upon
termination of my employment. If I do your bookkeeping
for your business you are free to use anyone you wish to
do your personal taxes, however, only you can go get
your files from wherever they are stored if you wish to
use the services of Lisa's Accounting Service LLC.
- Q: Did I have a employment or non-compete contract
with my former employer?
A: NO! However, due to the fact that I was
formerly employed at Hazel Henry Tax Service, If you are
an existing or prior client of Hazel Henry Tax
Service (Business or Personal) who is seeking other Tax
Preparation options provided by me - you are required to
read, understand, agree to, sign, and submit to Lisa's
Accounting Service a completed non-solicitation
statement. You can download blank non-solicitation
statements in Adobe Acrobat Reader format by using the
links below. I will also have these blank forms readily
available in my office and in my delivery vehicle for
any clients who need them.
- Q: Why do I use the name "Lisa ???" ?
A: Lisa ??? was a nickname given to me when I got
married, they had to change the sign in front of the
office, they put ??? as my last name because my new name
was too long. This is how most of my clients know me
today. My real name is Lisa Carol Ross, owner of
Lisa's Accounting Service LLC.
- Q: Why do you advertise "formerly of Hazel Henry Tax
Service"?
A: It is my legal right to advertise in this
manner; there are several reasons I choose to exercise
this right, the most important one is to
educate the consumer! Some Tax Payers in the Lake
Charles area have gone to great lengths, even contacted
governmental agencies, seeking my contact information to
establish a business relationship with Lisa's Accounting
Service. I advertise
"formerly of Hazel Henry Tax Service"
as a service to the community, making me easier to find
and identify for those seeking out my services.
- Q: What can I do if I feel I was
treated unfairly by my Tax Preparer?
A: As with any business there are several places
you can go to file your grievances if you feel you were
treated unfairly.
